Vacuum forming is one of the oldest and most common methods of processing plastic materials. Vacuum formed products are all around us and play major part in our daily lives. The process involves heating a plastic sheet until it becomes soft and then draping it over a mould. Air is quickly removed & the vacuum so created sucks the sheet unto the mould. The sheet is then removed from the mould. In its advanced form, the vacuum forming process utilizes sophisticated pneumatic, hydraulic and heat controls thus enabling higher production speeds and more detailed vacuum formed products.
Digimax offers customized design, construction and prototyping of vacuum forming moulds. We utilize our proprietary multicam high heat materials to create our moulds. Our mould makers have many years of experience in building state-of-the-art vacuum forming moulds.
